Charlie’s Story

In the words of Neet Lawrence
‘We adopted Charlie two years ago this Easter. He’s from Ainmhithe animal rescue in Ireland. He was 7 months old when we got him. He is a collie whippet cross although we thought he was mountain goat!
He was just a month past his first birthday when he lost his tail in a freak accident, so he had more time without it than with.
We attend Godmanchester dog training club and Cromwell dog club both doing agility. Currently he is grade one but he is learning very fast. We spent last year building our confidence and now we have a fantastic bond.
Charlie has the most amazing personality, quite the mummies boy but also loves daddy. He is the cuddliest, most tactile dog I have ever known. He often talks to us especially when Tim comes in from work. He even does it when he sees his foster mum from the charity. He loves agility and thrives on being busy and active.
For such a young dog he’s had a lot to put up with. Before us he had his original home, then the pound, then the rescue, a foster home in Ireland, then one here and finally us.
He can be very nervous one minute, then bouncy the next, but he is the sweetest boy and we are very lucky to have him in our family’
